Children Sunday School

At Christian Alliance Church of Victoria, our mission is to raise kids that love God and are empowered by their understanding that he has a plan for their life. Children Sunday School (CSS) isn’t about babysitting, we believe kids will grow as they learn, worship and build strong healthy relationships with others. Our curriculum is bible based and we also learn with games and other activities that help children understand more about who God is and that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Parent’s Information

Registration Procedures
We can help you enrol your child at CACV. Please speak to our leaders at the sign-in point and we will be more than happy to help you fill in the correct registration form (Enrolment form 2018).

Sign In & Pick Up
Children can be dropped off any time after 10:30am. Pick up is required no later than 12:00pm.  Children leaving parents for the first time may be anxious about being left in a new environment, so please feel free to remain with your child until you feel confident to leave.

Discipline
We have two rules based on the greatest commandments (Matthew 23:37-39). Honour God and others. We use positive reinforcement to encourage children to make sensible choices. Children are given three warnings and if behaviour fails to improve, children may be placed back into the main service with their parent. We will discuss any inappropriate behaviour with parents if required and work on a solution together.

Curriculum
Each of our rooms has their own age appropriate curriculum, aimed to teach children God’s word in a fun and practical way. We are currently using a curriculum called Kids@Church. It is an all-Australian, Bible-based resource that teaches children about God’s saving purposes in his Son, Jesus.
